Wallpaper Border

Give Walls New Life with Borders
Turn a ho-hum wall into a stylish statement with our wallpaper borders. Many of our borders are laser-cut to add even more detail to the design. Choose from eight different styles that can be used to dress up a kitchen, bathroom, family room, bedroom and more. Borders are the easiest way to create a theme and showcase your Signature Style.

Hanging Tips
Borders are usually placed at the ceiling, but they also can be positioned around doors and windows, used as a chair rail or at the baseboards. In addition, they can be used effectively as additional accent pieces in decoupage, on lampshades, in picture frames or in our Talk About It Tray.
The possibilities are endless!

Wall Preparation
If you are hanging on a painted surface, use a primer/sealer and size the area over which the border is going to be hung. To avoid having to touch up the painted wall above or below the border, mark lines about a quarter of an inch less than the border and only prime/seal and size that area. If you are hanging on top of wallpaper, special adhesive may be necessary.

Applying the Border
Borders should be folded in an accordion fashion, with paste facing paste and pattern facing pattern. This makes the border easier to handle and allows the wallcovering to relax. Be sure not to crease the paper at the folds. Gradually unfold the border as you smooth it into position, thoroughly rinsing as you go.
